How It Works

Three steps to your safety net

Angels works on one simple idea: the people who care about you should be able to help when you need it — on your terms.

Tell us what helps

Choose your persona, build your safety plan, set your coping strategies. We guide you through it on a good day, so it's ready for a hard one.

Invite your angels

Pick 1-3 people you trust. They accept your invitation, set their own boundaries, and become part of your safety net. No surveillance — just presence.

Check in daily

A 30-second mood check-in each day. It builds your streak, surfaces patterns, and means your angels know you're OK — without you having to say it.

Features

Everything you need, nothing you don't

From a 30-second check-in to a one-tap crisis button. One continuum from calm to crisis.

Daily Wellbeing

Build the habit that saves lives

A daily check-in takes 30 seconds. Over time, it builds a picture of your wellbeing that you — and your angels — can see at a glance.

  • Mood tracking with optional journaling
  • Streak system that celebrates, never punishes
  • Patterns and insights surface over time

Who It's For

Four people, one safety net

Angels is for anyone who manages their mental health — and the people who care about them.

I used to lie awake wondering if anyone would notice if I wasn't OK. Now I know James gets a gentle nudge if I miss my check-in. I don't have to perform being fine.
K
Kai
Living with PTSD and anxiety
I used to call five times a day and it was making things worse. Angels lets me see that Kai checked in today without hovering. I'm a better supporter now.
J
James
Kai's guardian and partner
14 months sober. The trigger tracking helped me realise Thursday evenings were my weak spot. Now my sponsor knows to check in then. That pattern saved me twice.
D
Danny
In recovery from alcohol dependence
I care about a lot of people — my mum, my sister, two close friends with depression. Angels helps me stay connected without burning out. It tells me who needs me today.

Privacy & Safety

Your data is sacred. We treat it that way.

Angels is built on a simple principle: you control everything. What you share, with whom, and when. No exceptions.

🔒

You control the sharing

Choose what each angel can see. Mood only? Journal too? Per-person, per-metric. Change it any time with one tap.

🛡️

Coercion protection

If someone is checking too often or pressure seems unusual, Angels detects it and offers you a safe way out. Designed with domestic abuse experts.

🚪

Quiet exit

Need to hide the app fast? Quiet exit mode makes Angels invisible instantly. No trace. No notification to anyone. You're in control.

Questions

Common questions

Yes. Your journal is encrypted and visible only to you. You choose exactly what each angel can see — mood only, check-in streaks, or nothing at all. We never sell data, never show ads, and are fully DTAC compliant. Angels is UK-hosted and designed with privacy regulators, not just privacy policies.

Angels has built-in coercion detection. If someone is checking your data excessively or you change sharing settings under duress, the app notices and offers a safe way to limit access — without notifying the other person. This was designed with domestic abuse specialists.

Absolutely — it's designed to complement professional support, not replace it. Guardian users can export mood data and journal entries as a PDF to share with their therapist, making sessions more productive. Several clinical advisors helped shape the check-in flow.

One tap sends an immediate alert to your chosen angels. Your safety plan appears with your coping strategies at the top. A real-check asks "are you safe?" to calibrate the response. After the crisis passes, Angels follows up at day 1, 3, 7, and 14 — because recovery doesn't end when the moment passes.

The free tier includes everything you need to stay safe: crisis activation, safety plan, daily check-ins with 7-day history, and one angel connection. We believe crisis support should never be behind a paywall. Guardian adds deeper insights, more angels, and longer history — nice to have, not need to have.

We're opening early access in summer 2026 for a small group of users and clinical advisors. Join the waitlist to get priority access and help shape the product. We're building this with the people who'll use it, not just for them.
